September 10, 2011 // Dallas Ramps
Cole and three other Young Men's Service League volunteers built a wheelchair ramp for a Dallas family in need. Dallas Ramps builds over 200 ramps a year for families that otherwise would not have access in/out of their homes.
August 6, 2011 // Crimes Against Children Conference
Cole and 50 other volunteers worked to prepare goodie bags for the Crimes Against Children Conference in Dallas.
December 10, 2010 // Homeless Relief
In support of Lockton Corporation homeless relief efforts, Briley and Cole both purchased and prepared emergency kits for the homeless. The kits included items such as a sleeping bag, toothpaste, shaving cream, soap, shampoo, gum, lotion, hats and gloves + more. The kits will be handed out to anyone in need.
November 18, 2010 // Salvation Army
Cole went to the Salvation Army to serve a warm meal to the homeless. Hairnets and gloves were donned to adhere to cleanliness standards for serving. There were 3 shifts of gentlemen over 100 each shift, needing nourishment. Cole and his friends also made sandwiches and packaged 100's of lunches to be distributed the next day.
November 5, 2010 // United Way Campaign
Cole completed a blanket for the United Way campaign. The blankets collected will be donated to local hospitals and shelters for use by young children during the cold months.
June 2, 2009 // The North Texas Food bank
On June 2, Cole and many of his friends worked at The North Texas Food Bank. (NTFB) is a nonprofit hunger relief organization that distributes donated, purchased and prepared foods through a network of feeding programs in 13 North Texas counties. It was a busy morning of sorting and boxing the cans Cole's class had solicited!
