Cole Wyatt Casanova was born on February 5, 1997 in Dallas, Texas to Bev and Zelda Casanova. Cole began taking gymnastics classes at the age of 3 at The Little Gym. At age 4, Cole was training at WOGA with his sister Briley. By 2003, Cole had worked his way up to Class 7, at the age of 6. Kathy Austin Howell was his coach through level 6. Cole has placed in various events at several meets.

As a level 7 in 2008, Cole won a silver medal on vault at the Level 7 State Championships. Cole repeated level 7 in 2009, where he finished sixth in the all-around and second on vault at the Level 7 Texas State Championships. At the Region III Championships, Cole finished 12th in the all-around as well as second on still rings. He, along with top 12 boys, made the 2009 Region III Level 7 Junior Development Team. Currently, Cole is training as a level 9 with Sergei Pakanich at WOGA in Frisco and looks forward to competing in 2010.

Throughout Cole's gymnastics career he has held a special interest in mixed martial arts. He was able to train regularly until March 2006 when he earned his second degree red belt (one step below black) while studying with Sensei Adrian Cardinas, at the Eric Mattingly Cross Training Center. Cole plans to one day earn his black belt degree.

Each spring, Cole plays baseball on the PSA Cardinal team. Cole’s positions are second base, short stop and center field. He was selected as one of three to represent his team on the 2008 All Star Team. Cole is an avid Green Bay Packer football fan. He enjoys watching the Packers and collecting Green Bay Packer memorabilia. Cole is a straight “A” student and will be in the 8th grade this fall of 2011 in Advanced Placement courses. He is a member of Beta Club and helps raise money for those less fortunate, through various volunteer efforts. He has many friends and a busy social calendar. Cole also enjoys playing Xbox Live with his friends, especially Call of Duty 4 and Gears of War.
